FNQ Development Squads
FNQ Swimming’s squads are designed to cater for all competitive swimmers from regional level to national.
FNQ Swimming provides support in many areas including membership drives, development clinics, and hosting swim events. FNQ Swimming, together with Swimming Queensland, has also developed pathways for swimmers to reach their goals at a regional, state and national level.
FNQ Swimming would like to thank Swimming Queensland for their ongoing support in facilitating the year round clinics under Brant Best, coach and club development officer.
SQ/FNQ Squads
AGE DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
- 12-14 years (or 11 years and will be 12 at next LC States)
- State of National QT in 100m event or above*
NATIONAL SQUAD
- 15 years +
- National QT in 100m event or above*
FNQ Led
REGIONAL SQUAD
- age 9+ years
- must have completed in at least 1 FNQ Champs
- divided into 2 squads
- 9-12 years
- 13 years+
SENIOR STATE SQUAD
- age 15+
- National QT in 100m event or above*
*Based on the 2024 State and 2025 National Championships QT
